A Test Prep Plan for Juniors
Now that you’ve got your Halloween costume taken care of, it’s time to start thinking about standardized test prep.
You’re probably thinking, “Really, already?” Most parents are told spring is the time to worry about the SAT and ACT. However, Streamline Tutors backs November as the month to start your prep regimen.
It’s all about the numbers. We see the greatest score improvements with five months of consistent tutoring. Over the course of those five months, it’s important that we see you through two official tests. We all need that first run to shake out the test-day jitters — most students see an improvement the second time around. It’s a good opportunity to check your progress and see where to focus your efforts during that last push.
Starting in November means you’ll get two official tests under your belt by May. You don’t want to be relying on the June test — between AP exams and summer just around the corner, many students find this a difficult time to prioritize standardized testing. Summer should be spent planning college visits and day-dreaming about life’s next adventure, not cramming in last minute test prep.
It’s easy to get started with Streamline. The first step is to determine which test to prep for. You can sign up for one of our free diagnostics and we will follow up with a consultation.
